Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

my father just passed and he had some land willed to him. when he died he did not have a will drawn up so how can we get this property in my mother's name?

First, I'm sorry to learn of your father's passing. Second, I need more information from you regarding your father's estate. Did he have debts? Any other property besides the inherited property (ie house, car)? Did he have any children outside the marriage?

There are a few ways to handle this, but they depend on the answers to the questions listed above.
