my father does not want to write a last will, and he has a property in maverick county i wish to acquire, the trick is he is mexican and I am an american citizen born in texas

How could i legally change the property tp my name?

You can buy it from him or he can give it to you. You can probably do this with a deed. If the property has appreciated significantly in value, you might have him reconsider the will.
