Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Fraud on Death Certificate

Is it illegal to put yourself down as son on a death certificate when you have no relation to the deceased?

How would I obtain a copy of my grandfathers will if I don't have one?

Is it on record anywhere?

Hell, yes! Falsifying a government document is a felony offense.

If your grandfather's estate has been entered into probate, his will is a matter of public record. Or he could have recorded it with the county clerk, although that's offered as a convenience.
