Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Grandfather lived in Iowa and died in Iowa intestate in 1928. He was survived by his second wife, a step son, and 9 children. Grandfather had real property land and minerals in Texas. Does the land in Texas pass to heirs according to Iowa laws of intestacy or Texas laws of intestacy?

As to the real property, the law of the situs governs. I believe that would be Texas
