How can you halt/delay a foreclosure on a piece of estate property?

There are a few ways, but it depends on what reasons you have for stopping it. If you have discussed it with the bank, and they agree, then they can voluntarily take it off the foreclosure docket (get that in writing.) If there has been a mistake (you made a payment but they didn't note it on your file) then you can file a restraining order (very expensive). If the debtor died, and the bank doesn't know about it, you can ask a probate court for relief. There's always the bankruptcy route as well.
