Re: house gift

You can transfer the property in consideration of natural love and affection. In order to do this you will need to complete two forms. A form TR1 which can be downloaded from www.landreg.gov.uk and a form SDLT which must be completed on paper but can be obtained by telephoning 0845 603 0135. Once you have returned the SDLT form you will be given a certificate and the form TR1 signed by all parties needs to be sent to the Land Registry with the appropriate fee (see the fees section at www.landreg.gov.uk).

Assuming all paperwork is correct the transfer of the property will be recorded
