Legal Question in Intellectual Property in United Kingdom

Hi, i have been living in a damp flat since September, there was around 76% humidity with black spot mould on the wall and the windows, on December the 17Th I got bells palsy a condition which can form from a breeze in an ear and causes a nerve to get trapped in the face causing my left side of my face unable to move, i have still got the condition 6 months later and have notified the letting agents a number of time. They have not done anything to the damp and told me to wipe it down. I was wondering whether i could take further steps to maybe claim some rent back etc

Thank you for your time

What is the cause of the damp ? from what you write it is possibly a condense problem: not enough airing and humidity causes (drying washing in a room, etc.), unless there are leaks somewhere ?

If the cause is not your fault, then stop paying part of the rent, after you sent them a registered letter stating the problem, and giving them one month to repair.
