Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Utah

I sold my car on Saturday after the bank closed for $900.00 cash and $100.00 Check a total of $ 1000.00 dollars. When I tried to cash the check on Monday I found out that the buyer had stopped payment. What can I do?

Try to get the car. The bad check is a failure of consideration. Your other remedy is to try to collect on the bad check, but that could take some time.
