Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Utah

I am 16 years old and a Junior in Highschool. I have a 21 year old boyfriend. I had my parents meet him and they let me date him for a little while but then they told me they didn't like it. I want to continue dating him but my mother and father have both threatened that they could call the cops if they want to. There has been no sexual intercourse involved. How can I make this legal so that my boyfriend does not go to jail?

As long as you're still a minor and living under your parents' roof, they actually have the right to restrict your associations, especially if it's with an adult. If your relationship with your boyfriend is more important than that with your family, you can file an action in court to have yourself declared an emancipated minor which would mean you would have to move out and be on your own and able to support yourself. The alternative is to get your parents consent to marry your boyfriend which, from what you describe, is highly unlikely.
