Legal Question in Family Law in Utah

If someone got married in Nevada and divorced in Utah, where could I find the record of the divorce and would it be public record online? Where do I go to find out if he is divorced or lying about it?

If the divorce supposedly took place in Utah then that is where you would need to look. Divorce cases in Utah are private and not considered public record. However, if you were to go to a court clerk at any district court, they would be able to look it up and tell you if, in fact, there was a divorce case and whether a divorce was granted. Many attorneys, myself included, have access to similar information as well.
