conflect of interest

a two attorney law firm agreed to represent me in a divorce.after 2 visits my lawer said he could notrepresent me as my husband had been his parteners client in the past. his partener later agreed to represent my husband. remember i spilled my guts to the first attorney

You can file an objection and request for the attorneys to recuse themselves from the divorce proceedings. The attorneys may respond with an assertion that the first attorney did not and will not share information about your visit with the other attorney. It may be an issue for the judge to resolve.

based on the facts you have given me the attorney likley can not reperesent either you or your husband. However, this question is best addressed by the Utah State bar who will guide you for free.
