Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Utah

In utah can a beneficiary of an irrevocable trust also be the trustee. And if yes are there any things I should be concerned about. I want to make my son the trustee of the irrevocable trust. He and my 14 yr old granddaughter (his child ) will be the sole beneficiaries.

You can name anyone you want as the trustee, including a beneficiary. You should explore your reasons and the content of the trust with an attorney. Once you create the irrevocable trust, you have no future control over how those assets are used without going to extraordinary steps.
