Legal Question in Disability Law in Virginia

My doctor recently took my out of work for intense Vertigo (I drive a forklift for a living) and my short term disability group is giving me the runaround. Can they deny my disability claim and if so can I possibly be terminated from my job for this?

Yes, possible, in answer to your first question and, yes, that is also

possible(your termination) unless you're working under the protection of a valid employment contract which would prohibit such termination under the facts/circumstances which you've described (in my opinion).
