Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Virginia

Child custody

What are my rights as far as being forced to leave my life and home in Montana where I had a job, an am also assisting my mother in getting our first business start up. Being here in Virginia I starting over with no Money, no home and I also have my 9 mo. old daughter that I'm taking care of. I came here to get permanent custody. Her mother is. mentally unfit and has harmed her in the past and poisoned my food with lysol. Judge Fairfield believes that all children belong with their mother and has basically ignored all facts pertaining to the mother's actions (assault, speeding, running red lights, blinding oncoming traffic w/her lights on bright) all this has been w/and to my daughter who is only 9 mo. old. Being forced to live here has only been a hardship financially and in every other way. Yet this is all suppoedly in the best interest of my daughter. Before my daughter was 1 mo. old her mother told me she was sorry she even had her. She didn't even talk to or play with her, when baby cried her mom would just ignore her. Now my child and I live in total hardship so her mom can see her 8hrs. every other day. What about our rights?
