I have recently brought a car in norfolk va and came across a few problems that made me uncomfortable with my purchase I have talk to the lemon patrol and based on what I have told them I might have electrical problems I havnt got any paper work from them and lemon patrol said based on that I have all rights to return the car can u gave your professional opinion please

There are too many facts missing to answer this question fully (was the car used? nature of problem? warranty given? bought as is? evidence of fraud?). I suggest contacting an automotive or lemon/consumer law attorney to determine if you have any right to rescind (return) the car sale.

Unless the vehicle was bought new, it is not covered by Virginia Lemon Law.

However, even if purchased new with apparent defects, under applicable Lemon Law, the seller must still be given at least three opportunities to repair and correct whatever the identifiable problems may be before the purchaser is entitled to initiate remedial action(s).
