HI someone owes me money in my family I have had a storage unit since July 2008 and I have paid for said unit it's in my name and now this family member is saying I'm doing something illegal by not letting them have their stuff we had agreement that they would pay me the amount they owe and now they tried to sell some of things online without my permisson using my husbands name and my e-mail address without my permission what can I do about this problem? I can't afford to get a lawyer. I did however contact my local Sheriff's department and they said it sounded like a case of fraud what can I do now about this issue?

Re: Someone owes me money!

You might consider filing suit in small claims court (General District Court). You can get a Warrant in Debt form on the court website or from the clerk of the court. Good luck.
