Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Virginia

hi i have a personal judgement against me which i have tried to settle but they refuse 1. how long is judgement on records in the virginia courts. 2. does a judgement automatically go on your real estate property because so far there is no lien on my deed or title but i have been having trouble refinancing because a title company doesn't want to do it because of the judgement on my records even though the title is clean...thanks
