Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
In may of 2012 my boyfriend pulled my arm out of socket. I had to go to e.r for it. Through out our relationship and after he put brruises on me and chocked me. Now he is mentally abusing me to point I'm depressed and suicidial. I don't want this to continue and him continue to do to others like he did before me. What can I do legally?

Move away from him and go to the clerk's office of your local
J&DR;court (civil division) and ask to file a petition seeking
a CPO (Civil Protection Order) against this abuser.
