Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

Aggressive Driving/Harassment

After a traffic incident on the interstate, a Bail Enforcment Officer followed me 15 miles to my school and proceeded to harass me with vulgar language and innuendo threats. The officer produced a badge and refused to give his name to school administrators. The officer said ''I'll get you later'' and ''I'll catch you later'' over 15 times in fornt of the school administration. The officer even lied to the asdministration for his reason on campus, stating he was there to see the director (there is no director). I went to a magistrate to attempt to file a complaint and was told that the other driver did nothing illegal, only that he had bad manners. Do I have any recourse?

As to why a bailbondsman (aka bounty hunter) would be trailing after you after an accident on an interstate highway in itself makes little sense.

However, I tend to agree with the magistrate's assessment that the alleged officer's use of vulgar language would not be a sufficent basis for criminal charges.
