Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

assault charge

I live in VA and I have an assault charge against me. I have one on the other person as well. How do I get the charges against me thrown out? Is it normal to be denied a copy of the police report as written by the officer? How then do I find out the particulars to prepare a defense?

Re: assault charge

Better see a criminal defense counsel who can advise you appropriately on this matter; preparing and presenting

your defense all by your lonesome without the aid of such counsel is foolhardy. (Furthermore, a record of conviction even for a misdemeanor can stay with you for many years and have numerous possible adverse consequences.)
