Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

My husband was arrested in 2011 in TN for a charge (I don't know what) from 5 years prior (at that point). He was held for 3.5 days while awaiting extradition to Va. Then he called in the middle of the night telling me to come get him, they'd let him out. He had no paperwork, no instructions on what he should do; so we thought it was over. This past Sunday they came & arrested him again for the same charge (still trying to find out WHAT it is); TN is currently holding him for VA again. We were told they had 10 days to come get him then he could go free. The judge told him if VA didn't come by Monday (day 8) then he would let him out. At this point the expense VA is accruing for having TN "house" him + the cost of the extradition far outweigh the value of the item in the case. I've called the courthouse, they can't tell me anything because he's not in VA yet. I've called the sheriff's office but can never get ahold of who I need to talk to. I don't know what we're facing, I don't know how to find out, I'm just looking for any information I can get.

I would suggest that you arrange for a consultation with a criminal defense counsel who currently practices in the Virginia court which issued the warrant for your husband and which is the basis for the extradition request to Tennessee for

advice in this particular matter.
