Interstate Compact
How do i use the interstate compact to get my fiance transfered from a VA prison to a TN prison? We have tried to ask the prison but we get the run around. He is not a violent offender and only has two yrs and 4 months left on his sentance. What do I need to do to make this happen? And who do we contact?

Since the Interstate Corrections Compact involves federal law, you might wish to contact your federal representatives in Congress (Senators as well as Congressperson)to see if they can bring some leverage to bear on the Virginia DOC to get this particular prisoner transfer underway to neigboring Tennessee.
