Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
What would a plausible jail time be for someone who confesses to a DUI hit and run that resulted in the death of a child? The person confesses to the crime months after it occurred. I am writing a film concept essay that involves this and would like to know an average time frame of jail time for someone like this.

Plausible jail time? No way to offer a credible opinion for this hypothetical based upon the few paltry facts offered to describe this particular scenario (my opinion).
