Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia

probation question

My boyfriend was charged with grand larceny in august 2005 in virginia beach va. He was given 3 years jail time all suspended and ordered to serve indef. probation but was charged with violating probation and a warrent issued for his arrest december of 2005 for failure to report. He was arrested at his job october 2007 and at his revocation hearing he served 4 months jail time, ordered to supervised probation which he reports every 2 months since February 2008, he was ordered to pay $2000 in restitution and all court costs which he has done. He is clean and works a full time job getting ready to go back to school with the new military GI bill he qualifies for. He has served a little over a year supervised probation but his PO never gives him a time even 5 years. How can we get his probation terminated early? His first case he used a public defender the second violation of probation case we hired attorney which helped. What are the best options? Can we petition the court for early termination? PS He is ex US Coast Guard would this help his case? THANKS!

Re: probation question

Yes, if your boyfriend continues with a clean record and no more violations, I would recommend his petitioning the court for early termination of his probationary status after February 2010.
