Legal Question in Criminal Law in Virginia
my son has a pending trial for felony charges and the Commonwealth's attorney and his entire office have recuse themselves from the case. Seems odd. The judge is searching for an CA from surrounding counties- out of 4 counties no one will take on the case. What happens next. Does the Judge have to close, postpone, quash..what now?

That does seem odd. Surely you have an idea as to what may be the reason...but perhaps not. Don't post any details of the case online, but please call a local criminal lawyer. Many will talk to you for free, my firm included. You should also be very careful about talking to the Commonwealth about the case in general. Your son needs an attorney if he's facing a felony.
