You may have a case for false imprisonment or other civil torts(wrongs) but more information would be needed.

False imprisonment occurs when one is involuntarily deprived of one's liberty. The more usual situation is where a shopper is detained on suspicion of shoplifting. Since you were not a shopper, this defense may not apply and you may have a stronger case. I would be interested in hearing more detail. In any event, you should promptly consult an attorney in whom you have confidence.
