Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Baby isn't born yet, we want to move.

My girfriend is 8 and a half months pregnant. She is currently living with me. After 4 months of no contact with the baby's father, he is back in the picture. She met with him, and he agreed that the 3 of us (myself, the baby's mother and the baby) moving 4 hours away would be no problem, considering he travels and works within 15 minutes of where we would be moving. We have. It has come to our recent attention, he is going to try to to keep us from moving. I have been promoted, and she will be in an area where there are 10 times the opportunity for her to get back to getting into dental work. She is not currently working (we are not married), and with the moving expenses, don't think we can really afford an attorney. Should we be concerned?

Re: Baby isn't born yet, we want to move.

At this time the boyfriend is merely the putative father of your girlfriend's unborn child.

By or under what authority could he prevent the two of you from moving?
