Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Changed from shared to full custody

Earlier this year, I signed an agreement for shared custody of my 5 year old child. I felt undue influence to sign the agreement due to my ex-husbands position in society and my immigration status. My child wants to live only with me and I now want full custody. Do I have a chance to gain full custody since I signed the shared agreement? What are my options? He will fight it.

Re: Changed from shared to full custody

Depends at least in part upon how long ago you signed the agreement and whether there has been a change in one or more of the material circumstances which could affect in a significant way the proverbial best interests of the child.

You'll need an attorney for this task to have any chance of succeeding.
