Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My name Is John. I suffered a debilitating M.S. related stroke in mid 2010 I'm confined to a wheelchair. I purchased many things prior to my marriage to the 2nd wife mostly monies that I either purchased on my own or with the first wife. The house I was renting with my SSDI FUNDS , no help paying any of the household bills. My disgruntled X left me out of the blue on 11-28--13, the house I was renting burnt down on 02-25-14, I lost everything, my X left a lot of her personal belongings behind. My question is 2 fold, # 1 does she forfeit her belongings to me that she left behind? # 2 renters insurance was in my name only, she got the policy, why she didn't put her name on the policy I do not know. My question ultimately is my X entitled to half of the insurance on items I brought into the marriage?

Ans. to ques #1: No, of, course not

Ans. to ques #2: She would only be entitled to claim something under this

insurance policy if in fact she's been named as a beneficiary under this particular

policy as an owner with a claim to the items covered for loss by the policy (in my opinion).
