Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

we are living with our son's roommate and soon to be ex wife. they are unemployed and we are their sole support. how liable are we if she wants alimony or other bills paid and we refuse.

You have no liability to her based on your son's marriage to her. If you own or are leasing the place you all live in, you are entitled to remove her from the premises. If she owns or leases the house, she can require you to leave. If both your son and his wife are unemployed, it is not likely there will be an alimony award, since he has no income to support her and she has no income to support him. You have no obligation in the alimony arena.
