Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

my son's father has been ordered to pay child support but he quit his job so he wouldn't have to pay. I suspect he is working under the table so there is no record of income. It has been several months since I have received any financial help from him. what can I do to get the support? some tell me he will go to jail eventually, is this true?

Yes, this miscreant father could end up in the local slammer for a time should he

persist in this kind of behaviour..

In the meantime you should be initiating action against him for the enforcement

of your support order either through the Virginia Division of Child Support

Enforcement (DCSE) or via the efforts of your own attorney.
