Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I was being garnished but the debt has been paid. My payroll people continued to garnish me after the amount if the garnishment was taken therefore I am owed a refund. I have tried to contact via phone and email no one has returned my call or emailed me back. This has been going on for over 30 days. I have been struggling financially because of the garnishment and I want to know what if anything can I do to get my money back that is owed to me?

If you've overpaid the debt that is owed and for which the garnishment is

designed to collect, you could contact your judgment creditor and request that this person or company issue you a refund for whatever amount

you may have overpaid. But, if this fails to produce the desired results, you

could then ask the court which issued the summons in garnishment to schedule

a hearing in the matter.
