Legal Question in Insurance Law in Virginia

No insurance

I hit a rear ended a lady today and have no insurance. I am going to pay for the damage but wanted to know what she is entitled to from her insurance company and what they may make me pay? I know I will have to pay for damages to the car and hopefully there will be no medical damages? She did not seem injured. Can she sue me later for pain and suffering? Should a consult a lawyer?

Re: No insurance

I am sorry this happened. She may not be entitled to anything, but they may pay her damaages (property damage, medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, etc) and then they may sue you for what the company paid to her. You should consult an attorney before you talk to her or the insurance company and before you do anything else. Good luck.
