can you contest an eviction in court and get another court date.under what grounds can you contest it?also, what if landlord did not tell you sex offender lived in your complex?

Sure, one can contest in court an action to evict a tenant by a landlord but in order to do so in your particular case, many more facts and much more information would be needed.

This questino is not at all clear. I don't know what you mean by asking for another court date.

The issue in an eviction will be whether or not you breached the lease. So you want to look at the lease very precisely and see if you have violated the lease. If the judge believes that you did not follow the lease, then teh eviction will go through.

It could be of some interest that the landlord did not follow any legal obligations there might be to tell you about a sex offender, but then why would you want to stay there? The result of that information would be that you would want to leave.
