Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Landlord-Tented-------no lease-oral agreement

I own property that has a trailer on it. My son and wife lives there. They were to help pay me but for a very long time they have not paid anything. Then his wife and him let her son move in. All three there paying nothing. Then the son of his wife meet a girl and after awhile he wanted her to move in. I said no. Then came to me and said that he would pay for him and his girlfriend to stay there. So I said o.k..Three weeks later she left because of him. But he kept paying me for his part. Then he dicided that he was going to pay me either. I have already given him 30 notice even thought it was a weekly thing. His 30 days is up and he still hasn't left. So the other day he got that girl to come back without me knowing about it. So what can I do? Take him to court on why he won't leave. What can I do about her?

Re: Landlord-Tented-------no lease-oral agreement

The unwelcome son of your son's wife is not your only problem, but I would also include your son and his wife as problematical presences for allowing her boy and boy's girlfriend to move into the trailer without your permission.

Consequently, it would very likely be in your best interests to have all of these folks evicted from your trailer in the interest of avoiding further problems in the future.

And, I would therefore suggest that you arrange to see a local attorney who's appropriately experienced in local landlord/tenant matters and who should be able to further advise you as to how this might be best accomplished in your particular situation.
