Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia

I was charged a $25 no show fee for an oby appointment that the oby office messed up. The appointment suppose to be a week later, and I even had my supervisor's approval taking sick leave for the appointment a week later. I called the office 3 times, was told someone would contact me shortly. A week later, a lady called me back telling me that they could cancel the fee if I make another appointment. I've never been to that office yet, I definitely didn't want to go there because of this. Yet I keep getting this $25 bills. What should I do?

Write them a letter specifically stating that you did not have an appointment for the date the fee was charged and that you confirmed the same by telephone. Ask that they quit sending you a bill for a charge you do not owe and that they should take no further action to attempt collection of an unjustified charge.

Good luck.
