Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

My husband has passed away after a 5 YR illness, for which I took constant care of him. He and his brother received an inheritence from their mom's estate. Sadly, he owed money to an ex girlfriend, and was afraid she'd try to claim any money he received . Because of this, the moeny he was to have inherited was all put in his brother's name. His brother sent him 1,000.00 a month for 3 yrs in cash by overnight mail. My husband should've received approx 100,000.00 from the estate. It was stated that I would continue to receive this monthly allotment until the funds were exhausted after my husband's death. When I asked his brother about the verbal arrangement between he and my husband, he told me the money was gone. I know that he is not being honest with me, my husband's relative was at his brother's home, immediately following my husband's death, she told me of the extensive remodeling being done in the kitchen of his brother's house.

I am now living in my car, because I had to leave my husband and my home, I cannot find a job, and I feel that it's just not right that I devoted my life to taking care of the man I loved, and that he had intended to provide for me, through his verbal agreement with his brother, and now because someone decides to be greedy, I am left destitute.

Is there any legal recourse I have to attempt to make his brother keep his word?....

Does it make a difference that the monthly mailing of the 1,000.00 per month was done in cash, by Overnight Mail so as to avoid IRS scrunity? This fact of mailing can be verified by our local mail carrier where we resided for 4 yrs.

Thank you,

N****
