Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

I won a small claims case in January 2012 after a car accident. The defendant's insurance company paid a settlement of $1200. My lawyer took his percentage out and I signed a document back in February that I was done with the case and would not seek any further money. I just got a request for documents from the defendant asking information about tax returns, pharmacies I have used, residence information for the last 10 years, etc. Why am I getting this request when I already won the case? I have not been subpoenaed to court again and don't see why I would be when the defendant was at fault. His insurance company represented him at court. He didn't even come.

Why not ask the lawyer who supposedly represented you in this matter?

FYI, in the Commonwealth, plaintiffs in Virginia small claims court are

not permitted to be represented by attorneys.
