Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My mother is deceased and deeded the property to me that I was already living on to me. My brother n law is now trying to park his atv's and flatbed haul trailers in the yard and now is asking to put a metal parking shelter there for them also. Doesn't this make me liable and could raise property taxes for me? Also would this entitle him to own this property after so long? I have not given him permission to do so he just assumed he could. What is your take on this? Thank you.

Tell your brother-in-law, NO, he does not have permission to do any of

things that you have mentioned on your property of which you are

now the lawful owner and to which he apparently has no viable

claim.
