Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My sister and her husband stored some property at my house and it has been sitting in the garage for a very long period of time. Now, they are separated and fighting and both want it and I don't know who to give it to. They are still legally married. He's threatening to call the police if I don't turn it over to him. She just wants to come pick it up and deal with him in civil court. I live in Virginia

So, let the threatening Big Mouth call the cops who are likely to curtly

inform him that they don't get involved in civil matters such as the one described, and in the meantime you could then be turning this personal property over to the one who appears the more civil of the two, i.e, your sister and let her handle matters from there.
