my boyfriend has a habitual offender adjudcation. I am worried he will drive or worse yet drive MY car. What would happen to him/me/my car if this were to occur and he got caught?

Re: penalty for driving on revoked license

If your boyfriend were to operate your vehicle, after having been adjudicated an habitul offender, he could be convicted of a Class 1 misdemenaor(criminal offense) and sanctioned, accordingly. See Va. Code Sec. 46.2-301(B)(The possible penalties for conviction of such an offense can include a fine of up to $2500 and up to 12 months in jail, either or both.)

However, if he committed the above violation while operating your vehicle

(without your permission), the court would have no jurisdiction over your vehicle and it could not be retained in impoundment but would have to be returned to you as the rightful owner. See Va. Code Sec. 46.2-301(A).
