Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Both of my parents are deceased, the last one recently. The will divided all property between my sister and me. She took out an open line of credit against the house while my mother was still alive and did not tell me. She is now planning to convert the credit to a mortgage and put the house in her name. Can she do that without my consent when half of the house is mine, according to the will? How do I stop this?

Since you are now a co-owner, she will need your signature to convert the loan and put the house in her name. It's time to lawyer up.
