Legal Question in Business Law in Washington

If my boss gave me a bad check that bounced, is it legal for me to stop working there until I get my money? Would she be able to fire me?

Not sure that would be the wise decision. If you quit working you better be expecting to never work there again. Better course, in my opinion, is to continue work, tell employer, and file wage complaint with L&I. My opinion is based on many generalities and is not at all legal advice, but that's my two cents at least.
