Graft?

I own a business and a friend of mine manages another business that can hire mine. He said he would hire mine instead of another for a ''kick back''. I am sure it's shady but is it illegal to buy my way into work?

This type of arrangement is fraught with problems, thical, legal and financial. If your "friend's" owner ever gets wind of it, the friend could be fired, your business could be put in a very bad legal position and there coul dbe other legal repercussions that coul dland you and your business in court in a lawsuit or two. Compete aggressively but honestly. Perhaps approach your "friend's" boss or owner and make a proposal to do work for them, bypassing the "friend" and put your skills, knowledge and experience out there legitimately. If your frind gets upset that you went over his head, so be it. Good Luck!
