Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

I have a court case in WA state and it is a 6 year old case. It is a possession charge of a controlled substance. I left to a different state while out on bail. my question is if I go back up to WA and take care of this matter how much jail time will they give me if any? I have completed a substance abuse program and have proof of that. I do not live in WA state and have a baby at home i need to take care of so I can not afford to do any jail time.

Depending on what the possession was, you could be looking at either a misdemeanor or a felony. Details make a difference. This matter is too important to address in an online forum. You should contact a criminal defense attorney in the jurisdiction (and probably in the same county) as the charged matter. You probably have an outstanding warrant, so you could potentially get picked up anytime and place and held until you can get before judge, i.e. if you got picked up on a Friday late afternoon, you may be held until Monday morning, and even then you may be looking at serious bail issues.
