statute of limitations for sexual molestation

I've been trying to find if there is a statute of limitations for molestation in Washington State. If so what is it?

Re: statute of limitations for sexual molestation

The statute on criminal statute of limitations is RCW 9A.04.080, which can be found at http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?section=9A.04.080&fuseaction=section.

It is not clear what you mean by "sexual molestation", but it is more than likely addressed in subsection (c), which says in relevant part: "shall not be prosecuted more than three years after the victim's eighteenth birthday or more than seven years after their commission, whichever is later."

You can follow the links in (c) to find the particular crime you are wondering about. You may also wish to read the definition sections in RCW 9A.44.010 at http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?section=9A.44.010&fuseaction=section, and RCW 9A.04.110 at http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?section=9A.04.110&fuseaction=section.

Finally, you might wish to read all of 9A.04.080 to make sure you don't overlook something.
