Re: my children

What do you mean, "they were taken?" Do you mean by Child Protective Service? I think they can take the kids right away to protect them, but have to hold a hearing almost immediately.

You need an attorney who specializes in this area.

Re: my children

If your children have been taken by child protective services and you feel that there is no case against you or that there is some sort of major mistake that has occurred, my best advice to you is to find a family law attorney to represent you.

Depending on what comes of the child services investigation, you may also need a criminal lawyer, given that you may be subject to criminal prosecution. I do not mean to seem scarey or to panic you, but this is definitely not something to toodle around the internet trying to solve yourself. You should do your own research to familiarize yourself with what happens in this type of situation, but you really need a professional to help you, given that these are your children on the line.
