dissolution

if an individual files for dissolution and a trial date has been set with the other party agreeing to the dissolution, can the individual initiating the proceedings change their mind and turn it into a legal seperation before the trial?

It may be possible to convert a petition for dissolution into a petition for legal separation. The best method would be by agreement of the parties. Otherwise, the procedure may be a bit complicated and you will likely want to consult an attorney.
