Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

Employer wont send last check.

I quit from my job, they were suppose to send me my last check. Everytime I talk to anyone at the office they tell me it is being ''over nighted''. It has been three weeks. I asked to talk to a managment position person but just get blown off.. Is there any sort of legal action I can take to get my last check, and or paid for time wasted dealing with and getting blown off by this company?

Re: Employer wont send last check.

Under Washington law, your employer must send you your last paycheck on the next regularly scheduled payday after you quit. Probably your best option is to file a complaint with the state Department of Labor & Industries. The complaint form is at http://www.lni.wa.gov/WorkplaceRights/ComplainDiscrim/WRComplaint/default.asp
