Legal Question in Employment Law in Washington

I was laid off from my job in February of this year due to lack of work. My employer is now advertisign to fill my postion. I have never been given a notice of termination, and as far as I know was going to be called back when the work load increased.

Is this legal?

If I had any money to buy the damn question I would. Can you help me?

There are exceptions, but generally Washington law on employer termination is called "employment at will." That generally means that employment continues or not at the will of the employer. Exceptions include firing or laying off for unlawful reasons related to religious preference, gender, marital status, etc. It would take a lot more information to determine if there was unlawful discrimination by your employer as the basis for your layoff.
